Could the Championship play off Games be for Nothing, It seems the RFL & Superleague are putting big obstacles in front of Toronto Wolfpack to stop them going up, The Canadians have said try won't be taking any central funding And they'll continue to pay Travel expenses. They won there league by 12 points and will probably beat Featherstone in the splat off final , I'm not that keen on there tactics Hence the Nickname Thugpack but they deserve to cow up to Superleague. If and when they do they won't be able to try and steamroll part time players anymore.

I assume they'll be playing home and away each week, whoever home is during the Canadian winter.

I believe the travel/visa/winter arrangements/etc are what are being ironed out at the moment. Toulouse would also have to meet the criteria but don’t have the same issues with visas, travel and unplayable winters. All this should have been sorted ages ago and/or kept quiet though.

Yes amazing the RFL bring in a franchise system which causes us to lose our home. But even now Castleford still play on a small boggy pitch and Wakefield play infront of condemned stands. Then they consider letting a team who can't play on their pitch for half a year ( but playing around the country is good for the game) with no home based players and an artificial pitch with more lines than British Rail. And to play them each team has to travel a couple of thousand miles each way.
If they want a League in Canada, US set one up slowly and properly. This chaos has happened with teams in Wales for many years, and the result...🙃

When the people of Wigan and Warrington don’t want to turn up to watch their own team in the playoffs the attraction of expansion is pretty clear. Just sort the details before one of them gets promoted.
Anyway, Connor Jones - saw the second half and he looks pretty decent to me. Good addition.

Think we'd swap for a 9,000+ crowd and tv fee. But yes C Jones looks good, but think he'll need a few pies to beef him up a bit.

I find the whole Toronto a bit shambolic.
I've lived near Toronto and you blatantly couldn't play RL safely outdoors until the end of March (and that's pushing it), so they are obviously going to need to play the bulk of there home games at the back end of the season, this gives them a significant advantage over all the other teams.
It's an honourable venture but as so many things the RFL it's been poorly managed.

Back to Connor Jones. When he was introduced to the fans at the HKR game, he looked like a young Rob Burrow, and not a lot bigger. If he turns out anything like Rob, he will do for me.

I think we all trust Watson’s judgement. This season, certainly back end,he’s successfully used Tomkins to do the heavy lifting in the first half hour then Joey cleans up later. Not sure Jones has the physique for that rôle

He's certainly done a fair bit of travelling since he arrived in the UK In July , He's playing Toulouse in 🇫🇷 Next weekend for the second time and Maybe to Toronto for a Second time for the Championship Grand final On the 6th October.

This lad looks very good. Three games I’ve seen him play now and I’m very impressed. Has some speed around the ruck which we haven’t had since Brinning. Really don’t think he’s all that small either- not a big lad by any means but doesn’t shy away from tackles.

Hi defense for that first try left a lot of be desired. I imagine to see Joey do some big minutes next year and slowly ease this young guy in tbh.
