It’s tricky because you are comparing two very different things. Saints have been absolutely outstanding this year, utterly dominant and a joy to watch, whilst Salford have achieved our best result since 75 on no budget, smallest squad, and with virtually no backroom staff.
If saints had won the CC then perhaps Holbrook would edge it but that loss might tip it in favour of Watson. Perhaps a win over Wigan next week would seal it.

Has the MOS now finished?
If so Hastings must surely have won and Evalds can feel unlucky to have lost top try scorer for a Makinson hat trick last night.

I agree it is tricky to compare the difference achievements by managers
Not sure how the voting MOS and try scorer works MR. The awards night is the week before the grand final so at most can only count up to the last semi final. Somebody said the play offs count for top try scorer but who knows. It’s a shame Evalds couldn’t get over for a try or two last nights. I thought he was brilliant for us and deserved one

Just regular season games for MoS I believe. When the voting went secret with 21 points left to play for he was level with Austin (who we can count out) and five ahead of anyone else. He’s had at least two man of the match performances since then, must have been one of the best three players on the pitch at least four times and has been a regular in various ‘teams of the week’ - if he’s not won Man of Steel I’ll be very, very surprised.
