25C forecast, I wouldn't want to be an 18st prop in that. Maybe mobility in our light pack might win out.

Hoping for a Lolohea and Hastings masterclass, but I can't see us winning this one unfortunately - as people have said, we're looking a bit light in the forwards. Lolohea might be a bit knackered as well, having just come back from the NZ-Tonga test. Agreed sadly. I think it’s too much to expect Hastings and Lolohea to gel in the first game and I can’t see our pack getting on top of Wigan’s. I guess the coaching team aren’t happy yet with the progress Lawton has made but you’d think he’d be able to do 10 minutes each half for us But I’m still hoping that Lolohea will have a debut like Levin Locke did for us (but have a very different career with us after that 😂) |

" Lolohea will tear you apart again " works even better ( I hope ! )
I'll enjoy going with low expectations, would feel very different if Moose and Walker were playing.
Not sure Big Ben has the grunt to be a starting prop - correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think he's ever started has he ?
I do prefer Greg to Olpherts but Watson keeps sticking with him... |

Possibly for the first time watching Salford I feel half confident against the bigger sides in decent weather conditions. Won at Wire and should've won at Saints so if we can put in a similar performance to them two games tomorrow we should have a decent chance.

We’re short on numbers ,particularly up front.
Sure,we made mistakes but exhaustion played a big part.
Big minutes from the pack,JJ should’ve been off earlier with his left thigh problem. Ben did well.
Olpherts playing and Sio on the bench,so I assume Sio wasn’t 100%.
The try that started the rot was another Olpherts mistake. He’s progressing from one howler a match to two. Confidence shot,needs to move on asap,poor bloke.
Jackson Hastings work rate was phenomenal and Lolohea looks class,as he was settling in.
Referee was poor,one try came from horrendous obstruction he missed, but he didn’t lose us the match

Sio obviously coming back from injury but I think from what Watson intimated changes next week and that should be Olpherts off in exchange for Ellis or even a jar of Uncle Joes.

tbh I thought the match was just too poor teams with Wigan edging it. It was a terrible match and I was bored stiff. Watto summed it up post match although I thought the new guy was a bit of a passenger which was understandable
