The story of Billy William's shirt from the Red Devils of the Lance Todd era is a great story. History is something that has tended to be neglected in RL circles and that always strikes me as sad. Attachments:

Having only just started following RL and Salford this season, I find it amazing that a club of our stature and tradition has only lifted the Challenge Cup once and hasn't even appeared in a final for nearly 50 years.

One for every decade! I don't want to put you off but the CC is the official graveyard sponsor of SRD's hopes, not many people know that!

They’ve been in enough finals to win more though. The 1903 Challenge Cup Final against Halifax was a bit of game changer.

There's a lot of decent books on the history of RL floating around, and a lot more on individual clubs, and individuals at clubs.

Salford winning a trophy or mutually assured destruction.
Seems like a fair price to pay for success.

We also won the Arriva Trains Cup in 2003, which triggered the invasion of Iraq.
