I think we're to hard on ex-players in pundit role.
I don't mind Eddie TBH but I won't miss him saying the field of dream bullocks, he does love the game. Mind you if God was doing the commentary League fans would soon be asking for his head after the honeymoon of the first match.

Not being hard on an ex player. Think he's a nice gut. Just being hard on a guy who bores the pants off me with the same drivel week after week. It does a dis-service to the game. Phil Clarke I would like in that role.
McDermott as bad as the Neville/ Carragher duo.

The Second Choice Commentator on Sky Sports The fellow who does the Championship Toronto commentaries Seems to Sound like he needs a bit more experience, He seems to be Glad of
Terry O'Connors "interjections" some times. But what do I or Us know about commentating on live sport . There is also the Commentators on OUR RL LEAGUE APP I think it's called , Andrew Henderson insists on Referring to his Role as CALLING The game and the Other bloke who I think is Called Bill ?? Or Bob

Have to be honest I can't stand any of the SKY commentary team, all grate on me that much I watch with the sound of and a local BBC station on instead. Carney especially makes great waves of anger wash over me at the slightest hint of him being on my screen.
The trouble they have here in the UK is that compared to the brilliant NRL coverage they are all just rank average, Ray (Rabs) Warren, Ray Hadley, Andrew (Vossy) Voss, Warren Smith and the countless co hosts an sideline people are all excellent, I'll go as far as to say f the 20+ people they have working the game over there only Mick Ennis is annoying and then he falls way short of the UK team.
Guy Gould used to do a piece at the start of SOO games that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end, don't think there is a UK commentator could come close to that.
As for Wagga getting the gig noooooooooooooo, can't stand listening to a professional Yonner for long periods of time.

Get Chappers in!!! Ditch Angela Powers and get Mrs Myler in for a bit of eye candy (apologies for my blatant perving if there are any ladies that post on here 😋) and she'll be able to get the players names right at least.

That's not a bad shout, Chappers at least seems to be a fan looking in rather than a player looking out.
Thought Clare Balding was more your type of eye candy SS 
Tony Rae and Tulsen Tollet were always quite palatable back in the day, but the ultimate would be Mick (Ican't spyk) Morgan.
