Same ref and same squad.
Hopefully same result, can't see Leeds staying crap forever so hopefully they don't hit their straps this weekend.
Can't wait to see Junior and Hurrell going at each other, anyone got a seismograph?

They are both left side centres I’m afraid - it’s Hurrell v Welham, which I’m less optimistic about! He’s not looked good so far but they can’t let him build up momentum.

Think it will be a good game with both teams up for it but fear Leeds will sneak this one.

This is the first real test of our potential for this year. Up front and out wide Leeds have strength and quality. We're a match for them up front so I think this match all boils down to the halves . We know that Hastings will perform and even if Lui is below par , as I think he has been in both our games so far, we know we can create opportunities over the course of a game. Lolohea and Myler just haven't clicked so far, sooner or later it might very well happen. We need to deny them the opportunity of quick ball and have aggressive defence . This will further weaken Myler's confidence and deny the backs the time and space they need. Myler's kicking game has been dreadful so far this year. Against Wigan they relied too much on Hurrell and he looked knackered as the game went on . I'm not sure he's fully match conditioned yet .
So Salford by 10-12 as long as Moose doesn't see red, griff doesn't drop the ball and we play a patient game.
2 wins out of 19 in the SL era - time to redress the balance and I'll take the W as part payment for the Myler money ( someone had to mention I ! )

I see Myler as a continual weak link, at Warrington, Catalan and Leeds for me he has never fulfilled the potential we all thought we saw in him.
I honestly think it is Hastings not Mossop we need to be careful doesn't see red, can see from minute 1 Leeds not so much pummelling him (Furner is to savy for that) but there will be niggles in tackles and monumental sledging.
As for Junior and Hurrell being on different sides you just know they will be looking for each other, the SSI brotherhood dictates it and bragging rights awaits for the victor.

I'm never optimistic when it comes to Leeds. They're a team that we always seem to have a mental block with. However, they are light in the pack and their star signings are currently fat and out of shape. We also have a far superior halfback pairing. On paper we should be winning this, and a lot of Leeds fans think the same. If we can keep our completion rates high then I think we will. If we are riddled with mistakes then we'll lose as Leeds are not a team, regardless of current ability, that you want to be gifting ball to.
Hopefully, we'll go well.

The good thing is I feel we're in with a chance and looking forward to a competitive game. Often the feeling has been, 'can we keep it to a descent score'.
Why are there only two matches rather than five this weekend? Is it to do with the Challenge Cup first weekend when the bottom four enter it?

Think it will be a good game with both teams up for it but fear Leeds will sneak this one. I think that's the general feeling, Previews and pundits alike seem to feel it's the Rhinos.
Yet again even at home starting as underdogs.
The usual.
On the theme of Hurrel, who was a hero at the Warriors for me, it's never about 1v1 in the case of a player like him but who on that side can help and who can cut down his options. The simple gladiatoral approach is brilliant for marketing and total rubbish on the pitch and in the game plan.

Most predictions are for a close game. I think that will be the case. Now, I cannot get to games because I live abroad, so I may be completely wrong (glad to be corrected if so) but I have the impression that we don't have a reliable goal kicker. If it is a close game, could that lack of a reliable kicker bite us on the bum? I hope not!

Hastings has stepped up to the plate. 4 from 5 last week.

I agree JJR. Feels odd going into a Leeds game feeling we have a chance 😊
It’s world club challenge weekend so last years bottom 4 play SL and the top 8 catch up when they enter the challenge cup a round later
