I'm sure I've heard this somewhere before ... "Shane Flanagan could join Super League"
And does anyone else find the Sky commentary on Dragons' matches biased?

Much as I disliked him as a coach I think Betts would make a cracking DOR, well known and respected both sides of the world.

I don't think the pennies can run to a DOR either.

Hard to see a good future for Widnes at the moment. MK lost interest as did the other investors and Now they might be on a bus to being a bookend of the M62. Mind you MK's team would have a local Derby! Will be fascinating to see and hear the RFL's response to all this.
The only certainty will be the other clubs circling for extra talent.

ODD IDEA ALERT.
Chatted with a mate this morning about the idea of the fee for SBW and what would happen if they missed out on promotion.
So imagine Widnes scrape through but are obviously just going through the death motions, the people behind the Toronto franchise say OK we'll take over Widnes, we will merge our squad into the Widnes one, bring our back room staff, backers, benefactor and all other ancillary staff if the Widnes Wolfpack start in SL.
The RFL would fall all over themselves to facilitate this.
I agree wild theory but not beyond the bounds of possibility.

Not that silly Argyle apparently will buy Widnes if he can budge it to Liverpool

3 new things 1) " no-one gives us a chance in hell of beating anyone so that's a big thing " Jackson Hastings 2) Former England forward Gareth Ellis, who retired at the end of the 2017 season, is poised to make his Super League comeback. 3) TODAY marks 55 years since Brian Bevan played his last official game of rugby league. He spent 17 years with Warrington before moving to Blackpool Borough. From 1946 onwards he scored a record 796 tries. His last official game was on February 22, 1964 but if he'd played for SRD he'd end up sub on the Willows wall.
