Hastings has signed for Wigan according to Twitter, a Wigan journalist has just reported, seems he wants to chase honours.

Be gutted if true, was hoping we’d have him until he goes back to the NRL. Was nice while it lasted and sad to see him go but I’m nowhere near as down in the dumps about it as I was with BMM. Now we have the hassle of finding a new organising 7, even though it’s the problem we would of had at the end of 2019 anyway.

Maybe a cheaper option as we certainly cant buy very good established young half back and if we get more than 6 games out of him at least it will be an improvement on Jackson`s appearances in the red shirt. I still think he may have another 1 or 2 seasons in him. Cant think of anyone else that may be on the market, whom we may be able to afford let alone entice to the club. He is a good player, appears to still give it his all and doesn't mind playing to half empty stadiums. |

If the article is correct and Drinkwater goes to Leeds then wonder where it leaves Myler? Lolohea and Drinkwater would take 6 and 7 positions so he could be available. His Mrs being based closer to Media City could be a draw as well. Would be happy with Sammut as he's close to Dobbo as a player. Unless we gamble on an NRL cast off but it has stung us before.

Yesterday I read that Hastings only wanted a One year contract, Wigan want him to sign a Two year contract, That's what Salford we're offering him.
