Sounds like we lost to a late penalty due to a Myler acting masterclass. Par for the course I suppose.

Childs dreams of the day he can decide a match with a last minute penalty. I’ve said it before that he isn’t biased, he’s just terrible! He ruins games for me and always plays too much of a part.

To be honest I didnt expect us to win tonight but to lose in such a display of refereeing incompetence is AGAIN frustrating. If we put this type of performance in next weekend then our SL spot for 2019 will be ours.
Lets just finish in the top 3 and congratulate to boys and the coaching staff on a job that in July be honest no-one would have seen coming.
Even if we do lose the high earners and especially Hastings and Lussick then so be it. We will get behind the next group of players that pull on the Reds jersey.
Onwards.

Annoyed we lost that one, I think if we’d been a bit smarter at certain times we’d have won. I also think we missed Hastings a bit - he can score and set up tries from anywhere - just one more tonight would’ve done it.
Not to worry though, play like that in the final games and we’ll be fine, plus we’re still top as well on points difference too.
What was that last penalty even for? Couldn’t see that well from where I was stood.

What was that last penalty even for? Couldn’t see that well from where I was stood. I think it was for having the audacity to be level with the mighty Leeds going into the last 2 minutes.🙄 Considering we were missing Hastings, Sa'u, Ben, Mossop, Burgess we gave it a good go and bar a few brain farts and Chamberlain dropping the ball in the tackle with the line at his mercy we'd have nicked that. Leeds were handed so much possession by that pr1ck Childs it was a miracle we were still in the game with 10-15 to go. We conceded a couple of soft tries and gutted we couldn't get over the line as wins at Headingley are like rocking horse ****.

Just seen some footage on Twitter of the 2 idiots on Sky going on about this and how there will be repercussions about Mylers antics.
Yeah brilliant fine Leeds/Myler, Leeds retain the 2 competition points while we are cheated and still have to strive to retain safety.
Corrupt.

James Child strikes again. Advises the on field ref to produce 2 red cards last week as well as disallowing a perfectly good try for us, and now this.
16-16 into the last 10 minutes and the refs will normally give very little. That was probably the softest penalty of the entire game and came right in front of the posts with 90 seconds left. Very poor officiating.

That game last night proves we are not on a level playing field. The amount of penalties against Salford the things Leeds got away with and that at the end proves it. The RFL could never let their darlings Leeds be in a million pound game or heaven forbid get relegated. It’s corrupt and has been for years. There will be no further action and the whole thing brushed under the carpet.

Watson fuming in his post match interview. Not just about the myler penalty but the fact that Child missed a clear penalty shout for us a minute before. It was from a Lui quick play the ball, they had 3 markers and all their middles were offside including Briscoe who made the tackle on I think it was Turgut.

When the game came back to 16 all I said to my wife that Leeds will win it with a penalty from the ref. Lo and behold what do we get!! If the 3 marker defenders were Salford players there would have been a penalty given. As for the made up penalty Childs gave Leeds it's a disgrace. Those Players and coaches have worked their socks off all week, put their bodies on the line for 80 minutes and the referee gives Leeds a dodgy penalty to win the game Why? My opinion only, is because the RFL can't have Leeds in a playoff game just in case they get relegated. It's never been a level playing field against Leeds at Headingley for so called smaller teams. To get done by the most blatant forward pass two years ago has been surpassed. Well done Mr Child you are a disgrace. A referee is supposed to be impartial, congratulations on your "impartiality"

Not seen the highlights yet but expect they've been heavily edited to avoid controversy!
Btw, does anyone know why there was a big screen in the ground for a game that wasn't televised? Our game against Toronto was televised yet the screen wasn't there, yet one appeared for a non-televised game? What's that all about?!?!🙄

Leeds have their own screen up for every home game I think, but can only use it for video ref decisions when the game is on sky.
The screen that was up for Salford/Toronto I presume was for the Sale game the next day.
