Saw this posted by a Fax fan. The lad really is a gem...
“I would just like to say what a lovely attentive young man Jackson Hastings is .My son was a mascot for Salford today although he lives and plays in Halifax, he was chosen to be a mascot for salford. He spoke to Noah all the way from the tunnel until they lined up on the pitch. Then told him to point me out, where both had a thumbs up for me for a picture. He’s been a mascot for several clubs and never once had so much attention from a player. He made a little boy very happy today. Well done jackson and well done Salford!”

He has been a top notch professional from day one.
On a related note, and don’t mean to sound negative, but if the club put all their focus on keeping Hastings (rightly so) do we run the risk of ending up with no scrum half again if he doesn’t stay? From what I’ve read the young Featherstone and Leigh half backs that were mooted as options on here have already been snapped up.
I suppose the sooner we guarantee safety the sooner we get a decision from him.

He has been a breath of fresh air. He gives 100% and that is all we have ever asked at Salford, especially from the overseas/ bigger earners. His attitude and desire on the pitch is something we haven't seen for a while and he looked genuinely overawed at the end of the game yesterday with the adulation he was getting from the fans. I think the best we can hope is that this is enough for us to hold on to him for a bit longer. I'd like to think he will sign up for another year, show what he can do against the best in the league, spend his spare time ligging around Europe and then get himself a gig back in the NRL.

I loved that at one point in the first half right near our line Halifax had a scrum and people were chanting his name and he waived them on behind his back, got to think he's never experienced anything like that back home in the NRL, hell even the best of the best don't get that sort of thing there.

He certainly allows Rob Lui to be himself, the pair are awesome.

If we can keep hold of him for another season I would expect ticket sales to increase exponentially. He's worth the admission fee alone and will guarantee bums on seats.

What we can't afford though is to lose to many other quality players around him, he might a class above but if he's got dross running of him he'll have no impact.

Jackson was on Super League Show last night for anyone that missed it and came across really well. It'll be tough to hang onto him as he's a class above but fingers crossed the positive things he's said about the club and fans will help us seal the deal if we can offer him the right package.

It's a little bit of a mare as you know, especially as I follow Man United Wendyball as well (and the odd Ammies game...) ...hope the London game sticks to Sunday 23rd Sept otherwise I'm double-booked...

Not on Easyjet or Ryanair And if there's just one passenger with a bit allergy they won't sell them ☹ Eurowings don't even have them on their aircraft Try to avoid flying with them as there more expensive Plus it isn't Direct and the terminal at Dusseldorf airport they use doesn't have much to do . And expensive
