Easy, we’ve always had a big pack. Just needed a marshal. Think we all worried about BMM and GOB leaving when really Dobbo was the main one. I know Watto states to recruitment about getting a decent SH early and we ended up in the basement bin. Doesn’t matter, we are where we are and boy do we look good  I think a vast majority, or at least those that didn't subscribe to the 'Dobbo out campaign' knew we'd miss him. I think we've missed the dynamic of BMM. What he provided, apart from exciting, hard RL he was someone who was capable of turning a games balance. Be it a timely big hit, a devastating run, or a game changing try. We've really missed a bit of X factor that he provided. GoB was our luxury player. An extra playmaker who popped-up in the right places and while we've missed him the least, the options he gave us and headaches he caused opposition is still missed.
A great start to the 8's, for sure. No matter what the bookies say, we've experienced the million pound game and had the feeling of being minutes away from dropping out of existence. Those lads don't want to be in the same position twice, I'm sure.
Widnes must be twitching a little bit at the moment.

Fantastic win! Thoroughly deserved by the sounds of it. Had to listen on Radio Humberside due to being at work, even the Hull commentators were full of praise for Salford.

Just back from HKR. What a fabulous performance that was, particularly 2nd half. Very few errors and, I think, just one penalty given away in that 2nd half. The players played with a smile on their faces and it produced the best display that I have seen for some time. Hard to pick anyone out, but that 90 yard interception try by Lui just as HKR were piling the pressure on was the clincher for me.
The new boys both gave a good account of themselves, and the forwards were immense.
If we can back that up in our next two games, we should win both comfortably and will be almost home and dry. The coach journey back was brilliant!

Ryan Hall out for season, big loss for them and makes them a little weaker not having him bursting through defence
