I've followed this lads progression down under for a while, and never once thought I'd ever see him play in SL, especially for our little club. What I have seen is a real positive guy promoting the club at every opportunity, and I have to say that my hat's off to him...He's been nothing but a positive role model in the short time he's been here and Salford fans love him like he's been here for years. He's been a credit to the sport, and I've not seen many players have such an impact off the field as he has in such a short time. His ability on the field is plain for all to see, but his enthusiasm and professionalism is like a breath of fresh air. Imagine if other players made the same effort!
He's rapidly becoming a cult hero in record time.

Just the shot in the arm we needed this, both on and off the field. Don't know how long we'll have him but let's enjoy him while he's here. Just goes to show how a positive influence can give everyone a lift. Let's do our bit now as fans and make sure we turn up!!

Carnster absolutely it would have been great to have had the boy all season.Someone on another thread said his debut was like that of Ken Richard's and David Watkins that is some accolade.The boy can certainly play,but also looks like he wants to play.I hope people don't start saying he can keep us up because he can't,but with other people's help we have a great chance in my opinion. |

He can't keep us up, but we'd not be in the position we are in if he had been here and stayed fit all season, Dobson should have been replaced as a matter of priority not in the half arsed fashion it was handled.

Of course he'll keep us up. Widnes haven't won since....oh they last beat us in March. But that was on the bouncy castle.
Wait until we beat whinging Hullkr on Friday. Assume Sheens will be moaning that something's unfair.

At the beginning of the Season I had a Lucid clear dream that the MPG Would be Between Toronto Thugs and Widnes. No Caffeine or alcohol or Red Bull consumed for at least 96hrs before I dreamt. The fact that we played without JH v Leeds for 60 minutes and with only 12 men and still won bodes well. His influence and attitude spread throughout a threadbare squad and enabled Lui to have his best game of the season in my opinion

I agree - I’ve got us down for a loss against KR and Leeds but winning the rest. Of course the others are not a given and a win over KR would do us the world of good. On Hastings, I agree with everything that has been said - what an impact he is having. A few people (me included) have been worried that relegation would finish the club so whether we could have had him longer (we couldn’t) or if he will stay beyond this season is irrelevant to me as long as he helps keep us up. I agree he can’t singlehandedly keep us up but he can definitely drag the rest of the team up to the standard that is needed. Top signing and credit to those who made it happen. |

He did say when he joined that he'd seen Kevin Sinfield in Oz giving a Motivational speech and he was full of praise about him and Leeds. So he's thrown his Cap in there.
