And apparently a promoted team must have a minimum of £10,000,000 in guaranteed finance.
Goodbye Salford ever seeing the top flight again at that rate.
The top tier just found a way to become an open closed shop.

This is basically the end of our run in the top flight for a very long time, can’t say I’m surprised.

Where have you seen that? Wouldn’t that be a struggle for most super league teams?

Seems not all singing from the same hymn sheet.
From Ian Laybourn on Twitter.
Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington has condemned plans to re-structure Super League as "an absurd grab for power by a small group of men who think they own the game" and called for strong leadership from RFL chairman Brian Barwick

Most clubs dont have £10 spare never mind £10m. Elstone still in football la-la land it would seem. 1 up 1 down would be irrelevant if no one can afford to pay their way in.

Super League will end up like the Scottish premier league Playing each other 3-4 times a Season. Throw in Toronto Thugs and New York within a few years. And it'll be as entertaining as Kilmarnock V Motherwell. In a midweek game.
