Club report on twitter that Niall Evalds is out with a broken leg. Quite aside from this being a personal blow for him, we have no cover here and it stretches an already threadbare squad past breaking point. It’s one injury we really didn’t need, perhaps second only to losing Lui for the season.

Just our luck!! Really feel for Niall, he's waited a while to be our first choice full back and has performed well for us. You're right Kitch, this is a massive blow for us and potentially our SL status.

According to Gary Carter we were in for QLT before he went to Cas.

Who is likely to take over at full-back until Evalds returns? Niall has been really good this season and I don't think there's many better than him in SL under the high ball.
Its starting to look like we need to go shopping in the Championship or at least sign some loan players as a stopgap.

Olpherts at FB, Johnson and Bibby on the wings, Sau & Welham at centre. Back line sorted, it’s the halves where the crux of our problem lies.

This season is just getting worse and worse!
Gutted for Niall. It'd be a shame if it means he won't be in the England Knights squad for the end of the season. Hope it isn't too bad a break.

He hasn't been convincing under the high ball from what I've seen so far, but at least he's played in that position before, albeit a couple of divisions below SL standard. |

Did read that Jones expected to return within nwxt month, at least gives us cover for centres. Any team now though is going to pinpoint the high kick to fb as a defensive weakness. Wonder if maybe Littlejohn could cover full back, take off the pressure of play making he may thrive. Just please not Lui.
