A good win. Enjoyed the highlights, wish I'd been there.
Is it me or is the soundtrack that Sky put on their highlights clips not from the match itself unless it's been televised? It always seems like stock crowd sounds.

I thought Littlejohn had a good game. Probably his best performance. Apart from his numerous handling errors and terrible kicking, I thought he was OK. I listened to the game on radio Manchester, Trevor Hunt and Paul Highton were quite scathing in their commentary about Littlejohn. At one point, saying you might as well get a forward in there in place of Littlejohn, as all he was doing was just offloading everytime he got the ball, not taking the line on at all

At one point, saying you might as well get a forward in there in place of Littlejohn, as all he was doing was just offloading everytime he got the ball, not taking the line on at all Jack and Highto were right. It was basically like carrying a man. He looks absolutely petrified to try anything with ball in hand so just offloads straight away. Quite a few times we ended up with Hauraki or another forward having to kick on the last tackle as a result. JLJ does put in a shift defensively and doesn’t miss many tackles but that’s not what we need him for! For what it’s worth I think he has the talent to be a good player but just has a complete lack of confidence. I know we don’t really have many options but there’s only so long we can carry him.

Really good to get the win, wasn’t a great game to be honest. The weather didn’t help but that was two pretty average attacking teams, luckily Hudds are far worse than us. All the forwards brilliant yet again. Flanagan, Mossop, Hauraki, Nakuawai all excellent. I’m sorry but Littlejohn just isn’t the man for the job, brings absolutely nothing to the table. Very much my thoughts

It wasn't a classic by any stretch but you can only beat what's in front of you. Huddersfield looked really poor, can't see them getting out of the bottom 4 this season especially with Danny Brough likely to be suspended for a few matches following his stupid red card yesterday.
Our forwards were great. Really concerned that if Lui gets injured we have no creative spark in the team. He ran the show yesterday. Littlejohn was average at best, surely he's got to buck up his ideas quickly or he'll be permanently benched.
Not surprised to see Wakefield turn over St Helens but we really need to beat them on Friday and start to distance ourselves from the bottom 4. Fingers crossed.

If it comes down to it I wouldn’t have a problem putting Flash to 6, or Weller at a push.

Need put a run of wins together, can’t keep winning one week and losing the next like I’ve put on other threads consistency is what’s needed, some nice plays yesterday and keeping ball alive for Bibby’s try was excellent, tough task Friday but they only beat us at there place cos we didn’t kick conversions, fingers crossed that’ll change this time around

Now 8th and that needs to be our aim going forward. We need to win the mini league at the bottom end of the table.
A win on Friday is vital as we have Saints and Wigan after that. It’s annoying as I think we are only a few backs of being a quality team. Our defence is as good as its been for many a year. Hope the board keep to their word and find another outside back soon.

When we signed Huaraki didn't we play him outside Chase a few times?
Pity that JLJ is struggling but think by now he would have settled in and got the bit between his teeth regards taking on the line, seems to be scared for his life when within cooey of the opposition defenders.
Odd how he tackles so much above his weight yet looks scared of the contact in attack.

If it comes down to it I wouldn’t have a problem putting Flash to 6, or Weller at a push. What we can’t do is weaken one position to sort a problem elsewhere unless it’s a total crisis. if Brining is fit, play Wood at scrum half. if not ,leave it alone. Hauraki is having the best season he’s had, with us,so don’t move him. Flash is a top man, too. Leave him. Ive been a critic of JLJ and he’s not at the level we expect but it’ll work itself out without radical change.

Good! Without Brough, Huddersfield are going to really struggle.

Good win on Sunday, great to get our first win and climb into the all important top 8. We seemed pretty much in control throughout.
I think we're really missing Dobson though, really seem to be missing a spark in attack - I'm not convinced on Littlejohn unfortunately. What happened to the lad we got on loan? We seem to be able to get into good positions but struggle getting points on the board, or even just getting a repeat set. Other than that, we have the makings of a decent team.
Always a good day out in Huddersfield as well; and what's that now, is it five on the bounce we've won there? Is that some sort of record?!

We need to stop criticising players and get behind the lads. A drunken moron behind me on sunday was swearing at Bibby for a mistake which led to a try. The same idiot was dancing around the front of the stand following James two late trys.

Agreed but Bibby had a poor game as did Wood. However, they are young guys and will have these dips. The key now is that they up their game against Wakey as they have both played really strong this year. Without sounding patronising, we don’t have any other options available. I do However love watching young acadamy players grow and watch their learning curve.
On a side note, anyone know what’s happening with Manu? We all presumed his contract is being paid up but no word yet. How long is he out for? Could he return towards the end of the season?
