With the Matty Smith rumours this feels underwhelming to say the least. Perhaps gives us a reality check in regards to potential recruitments.

Yeah a bit underwhelming tbh but Wigan don’t usually produce bad players so hope he does well. As was said on another thread I think this shows the type of recruitment we’re able to make. Heard he can kick so hope the lad gets some game time.

Decent player. Hopefully a bit of competition at half-back will be the rocket that Jack Littlejohn needs to get up to scratch.

Before his injury he was good enough to get in Wigan's first team which is a good enough endorsement of his talent. Fitness he will have to prove I guess

Don't know if this will motivate JLJ or if hell regress even more and want offski.
Welcome him but it's a puzzler for me as we have Wood who is a more than decent halve already, bet if Brining was fit we wouldn't have seen this move happen.

Kind of answered your own Q there Michigan! It was the same train of thought I had whilst working out why we signed him. Think most of us expected a more long term and experienced signing I.e Smith. |

This could have more serious implications as I would guess HKR would now be favourites to sign Smith up (should Saints be willing to let him go). This would greatly improve them and make future games against them trickier than before.

Catalans now favourites to land Smith according to sky sports. At the start of the season, given the choice, would you have had JLJ or Shorrocks  |

And I Suspect with Matty Smith It'll be more down to the Amount of £ss Or more likely
