Heard a rumour of another signing within the next week but possibly not Peats. Is there another hooker around? any names mentioned?

All, please bare in mind that I am 80 miles away from the situation and have no facts or supporting information.
IMHO as a longstanding and very passionate supporter of this club I love wholeheartedly (as you all do), I genuinely believe that Salford City Council has an obligation to support our club in matters such as this, if they wish to continue to have a super league club of good stature within their city/community. I say this because when we were 'forced' to move from our beloved Willows home my understanding was that the "salford city stadium' was built for Salford rlfc to play rugby league at. I rest my case, very simple and undoubtedly flimsy view but that's how I see the situation from Wolverhampton. Btw, we should never have been made to move in the first place, something should have been sorted out for the Willows to still operate, I know there were debts, the variety club was on it's knees and major ground renovation was needed, but surely it would have been better to sort all that out somehow rather than having, seemingly no real control over our immediate future?? That's when things started to go down hill, administratively anyway. Again all this is just a basic view on things from me so please don't judge me personally. I'm more than happy to be corrected. I respect all your views and thoughts, I only ask for the same. Cheers everyone. Salford Forever

It's a tough one isn't it? I think he has talent, it just needs nurturing out of him. He seems a little down on confidence and it's been a difficult transition for him I think, being young, traveling across the world and starting from scratch during a pandemic half way through a season. While he hasn't set the world alight, I think under the right circumstances he could be a decent player. Whether that's with us is another question. Maybe a pre-season and an influential partner in Croft might be what he needs to flourish. It's a big call, and he hasn't grasped the opportunities he's been given. Sport is ruthless, and I expect that Salford may consider the quota spot spent better elsewhere, and I'd be inclined to agree. I don't think we have the luxury to have a project player taking up a quota spot, so it's a no from me. Hi carnster, have you heard anything on this as to whether he is staying or leaving? Many thanks

Anyone know what our strength of our "interest" is in kane Evans or is it just purely agent talk ? Thanks all

Supposedly chasing Kane Evans, NZ Warriors, prop. Or it might just be agent marketing. Sounds a bit fiery. Plays alongside BMM, interesting

I thought this was interesting? Thoughts? ---- While Wigan made public a bid to save Wigan Athletic football club this week, Salford too could be set for a long-term link-up with the city’s football club.
Salford City, owned by the class of 92, have progressed to the Football League in recent seasons and local speculation is growing that an investor is interested in bringing both clubs together to play out of the AJ Bell Stadium, if and when Sale Sharks’ plans to depart for their own purpose-built facility is realised.
