I just really feel for everyone trying to make a go of the club. Only to have the rug pulled from under them by outside factors. I know we will get behind them as usual, but it would be nice to compete on a level financial playing field.

Just get the feeling we are being shafted from all angles at the moment. I don’t think the stadium purchase will be a quick thing and can see that being dragged out later into next year. Why was the club promoting anything to do with food/meals at the stadium if they were in dispute over payment?
If the club has known about a £300k shortfall for eight months, why is it only being made public now?
I know at meetings it was mentioned and new staff were introduced, but I just wonder how much our non playing staff payroll is now?
I’ve bought my season tickets and I’ll be there no matter what, but there does seem to be a few grey areas.

For me there must be something in it, otherwise Rowley would have said something along the lines of “ first I’ve heard”

What a message it sends to mugs like me who have bought season tickets thinking things might be changing. Oh and the ownership money we have all chipped in with.

Wouldn’t mind us going for someone like Tristan Powell. Young Prop on Melbournes books, but has played feeder rugby for the last two years. Just won the Hotplus cup with Brisbane Tigers. He’s not massive for an Aussie prop, but has a great engine and knows where the try line is .

Great effort by everyone involved at the club today. A different ref and touch judge and we would celebrated the day with a good win. One thing I will say though is, and I know every club has them. Why do certain individuals feel the need to spout negativity and the players for the full 80 minutes. There is one such fan in the west stand, he gives the players pelters when they are winning and even worse even they go behind. It’s times like now where we need positivity!

I’m thinking it may be time for the club to release some news with a positive spin. They need to keep the fans invested, so a quick statement saying we have signatures for next season ( no need for names). It would also be nice to know if any positives have come from the new marketing staff we have employed.

What is going on with Jack Ormonroyd being picked as the 18th man? Our pack is lacking serious size and we’ve got a big lump of a lad not getting a game!

I for one am grateful that Paul King has carried on his good work. Let’s be honest it’s a thankless task where you are often criticised from one way or the other.

We are going to need a bigger boardroom at this rate. I wish them every success in their roles and they can help the club become self sufficient on all fronts.

If we just get a transfer fee for Tyler would trying to get Luke Thompson back over here. I know he’s had a bad run with injuries, but could be a good option. I for one am never to alarmed when Props move on (for the right fee), as they can be replaced far easier than some of the glamour positions. Put it this way I’d rather be looking for a prop than a FB or SH midway through a season. As for Tyler if he does move on then good luck to him, as for him eventually playing in the NRL; I think at the moment NRL favours big big lads rather than varied running lines. It was interesting when Lee Briers was over a couple of weeks ago he mentioned forward sizes and said that a big lad over here such Liam Byrne is an average sized second rower in the NRL. There’s plenty of diamonds out there Salford let’s get digging!

It’s a thanks but no thanks I reckon. I cannot see any reason to bring in a player on loan for the remainder of the season as part of the deal. If we are doing a cash + player it needs to be on a permanent deal.

I’d settle for Byrne + some cash. The lad is local and a Salford fan so bring him home.
