I wouldn't really worry .... that Saints team will probably be almost impossible to compete with by the look of things. They had three top class players missing as well. Salford looked OK, no better, but outclassed by a long way. If you only have 35% of the ball against a top side, things are rarely going to work out. Mid table for me

Fred Done is laying on a fleet of 10 taxis to take match-goers from Manchester City Centre to Old Trafford from 10am onwards. You just need to show the taxi your Grand Final ticket and you get the ride for free. To the Salford based drivers this shows what a CNUT he is, I know quite a few local lads who are pissed at him doing this.
A potential day to make a killing robbed.
😂😂😂😂

Dr John Wilkinson OBE According to Wikipedia was the longest serving Chairman of any sporting club in the world. Deserve immense credit for keeping us afloat along with his business related sponsors, and his financial input. It all ended rather sadly, but if he was to be acknowledged, even very briefly, it would be marvellous for him, his family and the fans who attended during his tenure IMO. .

I'm pretty certain that he'd be in any all time Salford 13, no matter the age of the voters.

God bless your Dad pal. I also lost my 80 year old Dad to cancer in July. He too was a lifelong fan since the 50's and took me to my first game in the late 60's. Here's to them both, and although it'll be emotional for your family, it'll be another great memory for you all to share when you remember him. I'll be in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, but will toast them both in the 10th minute. Cheers 🍻🍻🍻🍻

and sadly, that is the only footage of him available. Even more sadly, there appears to be absolutely nothing video wise relating to the genius of Peter Williams 😕

An absolute joy to watch .... certainly in my all time Salford XIII, and he only played a handful of games. Fabulous player

Guy's..... I think you miss the crux of my post. I still love RL, I still and always will love Salford RLFC, but I think our time is done. I have fabulous memories of Lancs Finals, CC Semis, great players & great games ..... but it's all become too much to witness. Good Luck to all who continue to follow (I did my share and enjoyed it thoroughly), but it's not the game it was and our club is disappearing slowly but surely

I'll look back with fond memories to the 60's 70's & 80's, when despite a lack of success we always competed and had the odd fantastic result. The game has changed (for the worse as far as I am concerned), and we obviously can't compete. What a sad, sad end

Am I missing something here? "Little creation in attack"? We scored three tries to Wakey's two. How the hell does that compute? Some people need to get a grip. OK so you thought we were decent ball in hand? Genuine question? I thought we were one dimensional everything went through Lui and that defending for his try was laughable, against a better side we would have struggled The actual game "is what it is " Surely you can see that this team were outsiders etc ? Still ... not a bad effort, and against a team who were favs, it was a good show ??
