Still early days, but my goodness, after watching the highlights against Catalans, this is some team we have here. Strength in depth as well. The team of the mid 70's was a great team. This team has the potential to be just as good, if not better.

My sincere apologies Michiganred. Haven't a clue what happened there. Interesting to see that some of my predictions changed. Please may I present an EGP with a promise to never make that mistake again. You are doing a great job with this by the way. (A bit of brown nosing never does any harm).

All the negative stuff on this thread at the start! What a fantastic gesture by the club. The ground should be full. Everyone should make an effort and get there and make a donation.

If we win, we will actually go joint top. Just until Cas beat Leeds of course.

I can't think of any positives. 'Manchester' is either City or United. As a Salford supporter for over 50 years, and my father and grandfather before me, I will have no affection and connection with a rugby league team from Manchester. I will continue to support the game, but not the club.

I'd have Gaz on the bench and bring him on late in the game for a one pointer!

No Walne, Griffin or T Carney in that 19 but the names listed look very strong. Just goes to show how much strength in depth we've got. I can't remember the last time we had such depth. No Justin Carney and Flash Flanagan either. Strong squad this!

They tested him plenty, both with high balls and short kicks through. He didn't miss one. He has to keep his place, and GOB is a great utility player to come off the bench (and kick the drop goal at the end!). Best of both worlds.

I think you will find that the trip to Leigh is actually a trip to Newcastle.

Evalds was my man of the match tonight. He made two crunching one on one tackles one after the other to stop certain tries near the end of the first half. Two tries as well. He has to keep his place for me.

I flew over from Gran Canaria to watch this tonight. Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere from Reds fans too.
