Add to all the above...why the club don't keep up with the Vimeo full game sales/rents.
All the ideas seem half baked / arsed....it's as if there is an agenda........
I've been badgering the club about this for weeks, with no reply or acknowledgement. In fact, it was Louise who finally got them to say something. Apparently, they can't be bothered anymore (My words, not Louise's) As to why such a cheap revenue stream has been abandoned is anyone's guess. There may be good reason, so I wont let the full ire of my opinion out on this matter just yet...
I've pushed a lot and so far got 13 coming to the Wakey game (and 4 to the Hull game) but due to the lack of interest from the Club in following up I, like them, can't be bothered to do it anymore. I've tried at open meetings with the club and tried ringing but nothing. If they think they can do it all with 'consultants', then get on with it. I know students who could do a better marketing job.
I cannot understand why the Club, when continually asked, can't just have an open meeting to raise the issue of marketing with the fans , get the buy in from them and use the expertise available. I am in lots of ways a fan of the Doc but each time there is an issue he throws money at it, hires the wrong people lots of times until he gets it right. Sadly he doesn't want to listen to the 'expertise' within the fans; and there is lots. We have a lot of answers to the Club's problems, why pay for it?
The change of name is, I think, a get out avenue for RHP, and won't happen. The Doc is right not to say what's happening because he's in the middle of a consultancy process and he shouldn't second guess them in public; unethical.
And I buy a VIP season ticket, can only attend half the games, and let someone else use it when I'm not there. But not next year. I'm getting tired with all the constant rubbish that continually happens.
Hope he's not paid much for that, any of us could have written that in a couple of hours. Very pretty but not a marketing strategy just a revamp of what we all know! So how's he going to get a crowd of 8000 with that? I've seen better ideas on this forum.
Russ you're absolutely right but then you get the CEO saying we're short of fans for the Hull match and the Chairman saying we've only sold 57 tickets so far and you get a marketing strategy like this. I'm bringing 4 to the match and the club doesn't follow it up. Anyway far more than enough said. Que Serra serra.
It's a joke it really is, I don't blame bleasey really, he has no resource. there is no golden bullet for the crowds. It will take a number of sustained initiatives supported by the product. Not giving up after a few attempts. We have the product now we should be out marketing like hell. Not telling people who already go that they need to come to matches.
Q and a where the only questions he would answer were about subjects he wanted to talk about. Ask a question he didn't like it was ignored or you were blocked. Standard stuff from him really
If this really were undecided (which I'm not saying it's definitely not by the way) he may well not want to answer definitively about name change, as it's still in consultation. I get that. But why then block, ban and belittle longstanding fans for asking legitimate questions? Crazy.
We must all be thankful that he rode over the horizon in his shining armour but what he has done since then cheapens the name of our good club.
He may have his flaws & be an arrogant bar steward but it looks like he's finally achieved what we all could have only dreamed of 5 years ago - Turned us into a Top 4 club.
People seem to be ignoring that or thinking that it's in spite of him and not because of him. Yes, it's the coach & team that are achieving that goal but without Marwan they, at the very least mostly, wouldn't be here at all.
Expecting a half time on pitch rant from our wonderful owner about our lack of fans, to the fans who are there. I for one am looking forward to that. Yawn. Hopefully it doesn't turn in to a reason to hurl abuse, better just singing to drown him out
