Good, as if the commentary was right everything Wigan did came down the right centre channel.

It has done nearly all season and in fact in reality for a few seasons before this. Don’t know what his defence is like but it has to be better than what we have there at present.

League Express: HASTINGS DISCUSSES HIS FUTURE AT SALFORD Care to elaborate JJR? Need some sort of context to the quote!!! Week in week out there is a strapline from LE but it never gets elaborated on, suspect that it's just a headline about Hastings saying how happy he is at Salford.

Exactly just says he’s enjoying his time at Salford and although clearly he wants to return to NRL one day nothing is sorted for next year , he’s on s one year deal which suits all concernsed so no story really .

I agree it is largely a non-story but I went into the season thinking there’s no way he’ll stay beyond this year. I’m now less sure. The noises he’s making does make it sound like there is a reasonable chance he’ll be at Salford next year. I guess a big part of it will be feeling like we might have a genuine chance of winning things. If we get to a challenge cup final or even just make the play off semis he would become even more marketable and it would be interesting to see if he tried to take us to the next level or went back to the NRL while his stock is high

If JH leaves Salford to go back to the NRL then I hope it is to St George, replacing Widdop. At least that way, he's still playing for a team I support. But I really hope he stays at Salford for another couple of seasons.

I can see Hastings staying another season, especially as his mate Lussick is here until end of 2020. After that there will surely be NRL clubs after a controlling 7 that can run a team. Lussick for me is becoming a lynchpin of our team and I can see Saints taking a long look at him for when Roby calls it a day.

what are the chances of a signing or 2 this week? Maybe that French kid mentioned last week, I think he might of been on trial. Other than that I think thats your lot after Inu. Its all gone very quiet with the Brierley thing, which if i'm honest i'm not too heartbroken about. I know a lot of people on her are pretty jazzed about him but I think if they were to look at him in real terms would they be all that arsed about him, were he not a Salford fan? He was given the opportunity at Super League level and didnt quite cut it. There is no shame in that, playing in he halves in the top division is more than a step up from the championship, its a different planet. Im not saying that there aren't any lads in the championship who are capable of playing at Super League level but i think they are fewer and father between than people seem to think. Rule of thumb is, if you buy championship players you get championship level rugby. We need to get out of the mindset that its the answer to our prayers and there are all these gems waiting to be picked up, because there really arent many out there. To be honest it would be nice to have another half back but on the flip side, anybody any good would be unlikely to come and sit on our bench. Personally I don't think the squad is looking too bad now really with cover for most positions, which considering our budget is quite an achievement. Actually reading that back it became a bit of an off tangent rant, sorry, short answer no unlikely.
