He's also a major league bell-end and exactly what we don't want as we build ourselves as a community club. I'm all for second chances but I think something's trying to tell you something when they're on their fourth or fifth chance.

I'll be honest, very honest and say if we did sign Moore I'd be inclined to stop my squad builder subs, don't want a massive tool at my club and I'd hate to think my pennies were helping.
The wrong image when we seem to have so much positivity around the club.
I'd rather play Lussick for big minutes and let the young lad have a few minutes later on in games if needed.

As much as I'd prefer the others more than Moore we as a club are far from being allowed to take the moral high ground when it comes to judging a player on his past when we've got the likes of Lui, Johnson and now Walker.

Walker was a drug infraction so while not ideal it pales compared to Moore, have always said Johnson shouldn't have been allowed near the club either and I confess I'm not aware of what Lui might have done in the past.
Moore (as Carnster says) has had more than enough chances to get in the straight and narrow, really do think it would prove to be a media mistake and possibly a negative for the squad.
FWIW I fully expect Chase to be given a 'last chance' yet again when his drug bans ends this season, if London are really struggling can see them offering him a chance.

Lui beat his pregnant wife on numerous occasions so Moore in fact pales to him. Walker also has the reputation of coincidentally messaging underage fans of the clubs he resides at. Point being we're clearly not the club to be taking any moral high grounds.

This article covers Rob Lui’s history of domestic violence. Not a nice read www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theaustralian.com.au/sport/nrl/troubled-robert-lui-exiled-after-violence-case/news-story/b3db6e0078ec75ebdcac2a2e63b595e5Rugby league stars are people who are attracted to and excel at such a physical, tough sport, who are mostly brought up to be ‘real men’ in a hugely macho environment, who are encouraged to demonstrate their prowess by showing how hard and tough they are, who often have extremely challenging childhoods with violence a regular occurrence in their lives. I think it is unrealistic and naive to think that some of the people won’t be troubled and often struggle to express emotion in non-destructive ways. Most rugby players don’t lose their way but it shouldn’t be surprising that some do and we need to think hard about how we respond to that That’s not to say that they should be allowed to act like violent thugs to use alcohol and drugs destructively with impunity or (especially) to treat their partners violently. There seems to be a real problem with NRL players and domestic violence and I can understand the lengthy bans handed out. Initiatives like Offload and State of Mind will hopefully start to address this issues from the other side in helping players (and others) find much healthier ways of dealing with their problems I don’t know enough about Moore to know how many chances he’s had or ‘deserves’ but like anyone else coming to Salford I’ll judge him on how he is while he’s with us (if he comes). He sounded genuinely contrite and like he was owning his issues from an interview I read when he joined Rochdale but talk is cheap as they say and he needs to prove he means it

Think it's best to drop all this guys, seems to be getting a bit out of hand. Who are we to judge when we just have paper talk?
If Johnson, Lui and whoever have done things wrong then they've paid their dues and they seemed to have learned: and I assume we're not all as perfect as we make out to be.
Watto has done a great job getting a team together, let's not help pull it apart by dragging up the dirt from the past. It's gone, people have paid the price, so let it be.
If Moore comes Watto will judge if he's fit for the Club as he has with others. Moore has also paid for his misdemeanours, so forgive, forget and move on. I'm sure, like everyone including us, he totally regrets what he's done and he should be allowed to move forward either with Rochdale or with any other Club, including us.

Yeah spotted the story too and I agree.
What's the betting one of the top clubs suddenly and amazingly has some SC space .... just like that?

Surely would be a Marquee signing if he did come at this late stage.
